If you’re a beginner then the best Raspberry PI XBMC OS that is available right now is probably Raspbmc. It is very straight forward to install and is the OS that I am using in this tutorial.
There are other versions you can install such as OpenElec and Xbian all do pretty much the same thing but with a few different tweaks here and there. You can find out more about these other versions on my website.
The Raspberry Pi XBMC WiFi in Raspbmc is pretty easy to setup as shown in the video. The guide on my website also has information on getting this setup if you require it.
One of the best things about this setup is that you’re able to do a pretty cool remote. There are several options for a Raspberry Pi XBMC remote, first is that you buy extra equipment and have an IR sensor to a standard remote much like your TV remote.
The second is my preferred is an application such as Yatse on your phone or tablet. This allows to do much more such as scroll through available movies and TV shows and much more.
